His respirations are 26 per minute and shallow. Pulse rate is 90 beats per minute and regular. After consultation with the client's physician, who confirms that the client is being treated for congestive heart failure (CHF) but is healthy enough for routine dental treatment, the dental hygienist begins an initial assessment.
