Flagellum

(2) Bacterial flagella are filaments rotated by special structures located in the plasma membrane and cell wall. (3) Archaea have a rotating appendage, an archaellum, for motility.
Micrometer
A precision measuring instrument capable of measuring dimensions to a very small fraction of a millimeter or inch.
Primary Cilium
Single nonmotile cilium on the cell surface of animal cells, especially those of vertebrates; binds specific molecules and serves as a “cellular antenna” in many signaling pathways.
