The MPC and MPS
Huckle's Rule
A rule stating that aromatic compounds must have a planar ring of \(\pi\) bonds with a total of (4n + 2) \(\pi\) electrons.
Nonaromatic
Referring to organic compounds that do not meet the criteria for aromaticity, typically lacking a fully conjugated, cyclic electron system.
Heat of Hydrogenation
The amount of heat released during the process of adding hydrogen (H2) to unsaturated organic compounds, typically alkenes or alkynes, to form saturated compounds.
Cyclononatetraenyl Anion
An unstable nine-membered ring anion with four double bonds, notable for its role in organic synthesis reactions.
