Gate-Control Theory

Endorphins
“Morphine within”—natural, opiate-like neurotransmitters linked to pain control and to pleasure.
Adrenaline
A hormone and neurotransmitter that increases heart rate, muscle strength, blood pressure, and sugar metabolism, often associated with the body's "fight or flight" response.
