Definitions:

Great Migration

Large-scale migration of southern blacks during and after World War I to the North, where jobs had become available during the labor shortage of the war years.

Menial Jobs

Occupations that are often characterized by lower pay, lower social prestige, and tasks that are considered routine and require little to no education or training.

Public Lynchings

were acts of violence, primarily against African Americans, where mobs executed individuals without legal trial, often with public approval or participation, particularly in the South.

Immigration Policy

A set of rules and guidelines that govern who can enter, stay, and leave a country, and under what conditions.
