Definitions:

Distal Stimulus

Retina

The light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye that captures images and sends them to the brain via the optic nerve.

Depth Perception

The visual ability to perceive the world in three dimensions and to judge the distance of objects.

Visual Cues

Elements in the environment that provide visual information to aid perception and understanding.
