Alleles
Alleles are different versions of a gene that exist at the same locus or position on a chromosome, contributing to genetic diversity and heritable variations within populations.
Phenotype
The observable physical or physiological traits of an organism, resulting from both genetic makeup and environmental influences.
Differentiation
The process of distinguishing or becoming distinct, often used in biology to describe cells becoming specialized, or in psychology to describe individuation from familial or social groups.
Recessive Gene
A gene that is not expressed in the phenotype unless two copies are present, one from each parent.
