Experimental Design is the methodology used when conducting experiments. True experiments are rarely conducted in business research or in social science research generally. This is because of the difficulties in controlling for all the different variables in social science situations and phenomena. Properly designed experiments can be very effective in laboratories or in laboratory conditions. Laboratory conditions are difficult to replicate in the social world or in the study of social phenomena research.
