Definitions:

Quadriceps Group

A muscle group located in the front of the thigh, responsible for extending the knee and composed of four muscles.

Vastus Lateralis

A large muscle on the side of the thigh, part of the quadriceps group, crucial for extending the knee.

Rectus Femoris

A muscle in the quadriceps that extends the knee and flexes the thigh at the hip.

Sartorius

The longest muscle in the human body, running from the hip to the knee and assisting in flexing, abducting, and laterally rotating the thigh.
