Definitions:

Granulation Tissue

Young connective tissue with new capillaries formed in the wound healing process.

Exudate

Material, such as fluid and cells, that has escaped from blood vessels during the inflammatory process and is deposited in tissue or on tissue surfaces.

Skin Tear

A wound caused by shear, friction, and/or blunt force resulting in separation of skin layers.

One-Person Assist

A method where a single caregiver provides support or assistance to a patient for mobility or transfer tasks.
