Definitions:

Nervous System

The network of nerve cells and fibers that transmits nerve signals between parts of the body, coordinating actions and sensory information.

Aging

The process of becoming older, characterized by gradual changes in physical, cognitive, and social capabilities over time.

Acetylcholine

A neurotransmitter released by the parasympathetic nerves onto organs and glands for resting and digesting.

Postural Hypotension

A situation in which blood pressure becomes low and the pulse increases when a patient is moved from a lying to a standing position; also known as orthostatic hypotension.
