Resting Potential
The electrical potential of a neuron or other excitable cell relative to its surroundings when not stimulated or involved in passage of an impulse.
Axon
A thin, elongated extension of a neuron, or nerve cell, that generally transmits electrical signals away from the cell body of the neuron.
