Design an experiment to examine the question: Who will learn more about psychology-students enrolled in a traditional course or those enrolled in a distance learning course? Identify:
          1.  the independent and dependent variables;
          2.  any confounding variables that might need to be controlled; and
          3.  the control and treatment groups.

Definitions:

Sacral Portions

Relating to the sacrum, a triangular bone at the base of the spine composed of five fused vertebrae, part of the pelvis.

Law of Bell and Magendie

A fundamental principle in neuroscience stating that anterior spinal roots contain only motor fibres and posterior roots contain only sensory fibres.

Dorsal Spinal Cord

The portion of the spinal cord oriented towards the back of the body, containing sensory neural pathways that convey information from the body to the brain.

Ventral Spinal Cord

The front portion of the spinal cord involved in transmitting sensory information to the brain and motor control signals away from the brain.
