The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) counsels parents to limit the viewing time of elementary school children to no more than 2 hours a day to encourage more interactive activities such as talking, playing, singing, and reading together "that will promote proper brain development."
Too much time on the Internet has been linked with violence, cyberbullying, trouble in school, obesity, lack of sleep, and other problems.
