The Answer is The Beer Hall Putsch, also known as the Munich Putsch, was a failed coup attempt by the Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler—along with Generalquartiermeister Erich Ludendorff and other Kampfbund leaders—to seize power in Munich, Bavaria, during 8–9 November 1923. The name "putsch" comes from the German word for a sudden, violent attempt to overthrow a government.

The plan was to take control of Munich and then use the city as a base to overthrow the Weimar Republic and establish a right-wing nationalist government in Germany. The putsch was inspired by Benito Mussolini's successful March on Rome, which had brought the Fascists to power in Italy a year earlier.

The attempt began after a rally in a beer hall called the Bürgerbräukeller, where Hitler and his followers interrupted a gathering of around 3,000 people. The Nazis announced that they had taken over the Bavarian State Government and proclaimed a new national government. Hitler hoped to force the local military and police to join his coup, but the plan quickly fell apart.

The next day, the Nazis marched from the beer hall to the Bavarian War Ministry to overthrow the government, but they were met by state police who opened fire. The putsch resulted in the death of 16 Nazi party members and four police officers. Hitler was arrested two days later and charged with high treason.

During his trial, Hitler gained significant public attention and used the opportunity to spread his ideology. Although he was convicted and sentenced to five years in Landsberg Prison, he served less than nine months before his early release. While in prison, Hitler wrote the first volume of his autobiographical manifesto, "Mein Kampf" ("My Struggle"), which outlined his political ideology and future plans for Germany.

The Beer Hall Putsch was a pivotal moment in the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. Although it was a failure, it established Hitler as a national figure and allowed him to refine his message and tactics, which he would later use to successfully gain power through electoral politics and further maneuvering.
