DRA

Differential Reinforcement of Alternative behavior is a technique in behavior therapy that involves reinforcing a desirable behavior in place of an undesirable one.

Functional Alternative

An alternative method or strategy that achieves the same goal or function as the original.

Differential Reinforcement

A technique used in behavior modification that involves reinforcing desired behaviors while withholding reinforcement for undesired behaviors.

DRO Increasing-Interval Schedule

A DRO schedule that thins or fades the reinforcement by gradually increasing the length of the interval. If the specified interval passes without a target response occurring, reinforcement is delivered and the next interval can be increased by a certain amount of time. If the response does occur, however, the next interval stays the same.
