There are four parts to every formula
Sieve Element
A specialized cell in the phloem of vascular plants, responsible for the transport of sugars and other nutrients throughout the plant.
Vessel Element
A type of cell found in the xylem of plants, involved in water transportation; these cells are elongated and connect end to end to form tubes.
Companion Cell
A type of cell in plants that supports the function of the adjacent sieve tube elements in the phloem, facilitating the transport of sugars.
Transpiration
A system wherein water travels from the roots up to minuscule openings underneath the leaves of plants, turning into vapor that is then discharged into the atmosphere.
