A complex system of nerves and networks in the brain, involved in instinct and mood. It controls the basic emotions (fear, pleasure, anger) and drives (hunger, sex, dominance, care of offspring).

Cerebellum

A region of the brain important in motor control and coordination.

Reticular Formation

A network of nerve pathways in the brainstem involved in consciousness and the regulation of sleep-wake cycles.
