Animals such as deer and boars cross roadways for many reasons, some of which include: to reach food and water sources, locate mates, or during migrations. This can result in fatal collisions between wildlife and humans. Wildlife managers and highway designers are increasingly building wildlife bridges and ecoducts to minimize wildlife and human collisions.
