Review the following case study and use your critical thinking skills to assess it. Then list at least three health disparities that Angie is currently experiencing and justify/describe your answer based on the information in the case study.
Angie is a 45-year-old single woman who works extremely long hours as a server at a local restaurant. Last year, she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Angie resides in a small town and must travel to the next city to see her doctors. Due to her low income and the high cost of insulin, taking time off work is impossible for Angie financially. Additionally, Angie often skips insulin doses due to the rising costs of this medication. By doing so, she is able to make her medication last longer before needing another refill.

Small glands located on the thyroid gland in the neck that produce parathyroid hormone, which regulates calcium levels in the blood.
