Chondrocytes
Specialized cells found within cartilage that are responsible for maintaining the cartilaginous matrix, essential for the growth and repair of cartilage tissue.
Diffusion
The net movement of particles (atoms, molecules, or ions) from a region of higher concentration of that type of particle to a region of lower concentration (i.e., down a concentration gradient), resulting from random motion; also called simple diffusion.
