Definitions:

Repressed Material

In psychoanalytic theory, repressed material refers to memories, thoughts, or impulses that are unconsciously blocked due to being considered threatening or unacceptable by the individual.

Vicarious Reinforcement

Learning through observing the reinforcement of another's behavior, increasing the likelihood of the observer engaging in that behavior.

Vicarious Punishment

Learning process wherein the likelihood of a behavior is decreased after observing the negative consequences experienced by another individual for that behavior.

Ecological Disturbances

Events that cause significant changes in the structure or function of an ecosystem, potentially altering species compositions and interactions.
