Supply chain management has become an important, and for some organizations, even critical ingredient for their competitive strategy and success in this global environment. Companies have transformed themselves by changing their supply chains to take advantage of global opportunities.
The synergism between globalization and technology, especially, has permanently changed the dynamics of the world's marketplace. This new era has and will continue to spotlight supply chains as a critical part of the ability of organizations to compete economically.
