Interference Competition
A form of competition where organisms directly interact with one another by physical force or intimidation to gain access to resources.

Scramble Competition
A type of competition in which individuals vie for limited resources, leading to the resource being evenly distributed among competitors.

A situation in which there are too many people in a given geographic area; results in pollution, environmental degradation, and resource depletion. Compare with consumption overpopulation.
