Behavioral Intent

When students act, even with behaviors considered to be inappropriate, they do so to achieve a result. The desired result, or outcome, can be viewed as the intent or function of the behavior. In turn, the intent of the behavior will affect the form (i.e., appearance) the behavior takes to achieve a desired outcome.
