Definitions:

Hilum

A depression or groove in an organ where blood vessels, nerves, and other structures enter or exit.

Symmetric

Symmetric means being made up of exactly similar parts facing each other or around an axis; having symmetry.

Nasopharynx

The upper part of the pharynx, connecting the nasal cavity above the soft palate.

Oropharynx

Part of the pharynx located between the soft palate and the upper edge of the epiglottis, involved in swallowing and speech.
