Definitions:
Industrial Pollution
The release of pollutants into the environment resulting from manufacturing and industrial activities, which can harm ecosystems and human health.
Ultraviolet Radiation
is a form of electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength shorter than that of visible light but longer than X-rays, capable of causing chemical reactions and damage to living organisms.
Ozone
A molecule composed of three oxygen atoms, known for its protective layer in the Earth's stratosphere against harmful ultraviolet radiation.
Acid Rain
Precipitation whose acidity destroys forests and the ecosystems of lakes. It is formed by sulfur dioxide and other gases emitted by coal-burning power plants, pulp and paper mills, and motor-vehicle exhaust.
