Definitions:

Three-Way Catheter

A urinary catheter with three channels, for inflating a balloon to keep the catheter in place, urine drainage, and irrigation of the bladder.

Irrigate

The process of washing out an area or wound with a stream of fluid.

Urinary Elimination

The process by which the kidneys filter waste from the blood and transport urine to the bladder for excretion.

Ileal Conduit

A surgical procedure to create a pathway for urine to exit the body through the abdominal wall after removal of the bladder.
