The Answer is The Kamakura Shogunate, also known as the Kamakura Bakufu, was a feudal Japanese military government that existed from 1185 to 1333. It was established by Minamoto no Yoritomo following his victory over the Taira clan in the Genpei War, and it marked the beginning of the shogunate system in Japan, which lasted until the Meiji Restoration in 1868.

The Kamakura period is known for the establishment of a warrior government with the shogun as the de facto ruler of Japan, while the emperor remained as the figurehead. The shogunate was headquartered in Kamakura, a city located to the south of modern-day Tokyo.

This led to the overthrow of the Kamakura Shogunate and the establishment of the Ashikaga Shogunate in the early 14th century.
