Definitions:

Fight-or-Flight Response

Rattle Snake

A venomous snake, known for the characteristic rattle at the end of its tail, commonly found in the Americas.

Negative Affectivity

A tendency to experience aversive (intensely disliked) emotional states; predisposition to experience emotional stress that includes feelings of nervousness, tension, and worry.

Stress

An internal reaction to any force that threatens to disturb a person’s equilibrium; the internal reaction usually takes the form of emotional discomfort.
