Definitions:

Epstein Barr

A common virus that causes mononucleosis, often referred to as "mono" or the "kissing disease," which can lead to prolonged fatigue and other symptoms.

Infectious Mononucleosis

A disease seen most commonly in adolescents and young adults, characterized by fever, sore throat, leg and muscle soreness, and fatigue (symptoms of a common cold or allergies). Mononucleosis is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).
