En Bolivia, las celebraciones de Navidad comienzan alrededor (around) del 15 de diciembre. Una costumbre (custom) de esta temporada (season) es la de llevar "asaltos" a los parientes y amigos. Un "asalto" es cuando varias (several) personas hacen una visita de sorpresa a un amigo o pariente en horas muy tardes de la noche o muy tempranas de la mañana. El grupo llega a la casa y empieza a cantar canciones (songs) de Navidad. La familia de la casa les invita a todos a entrar y les sirven comida y refrescos. Esta visita dura (lasts) como una hora.
