The Answer is The proletariat do not own the means of production.They are forced to sell their labour to the bourgeoisie.The resulting exploitation ultimately results in workers' alienation from the fruits of their labour because they do not benefit from what they produce but,rather,are only paid a wage for producing what the bourgeoisie sells for considerably more than it cost to produce.The bourgeoisie does not pass that profit on to the worker,who is not paid enough to maintain a decent standard of living.Thus,there will always be inherent conflict between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat,as one must exploit the other in order to stay competitive in the marketplace,while the other must sell his labour in order to live.
