Definitions:

Unconditional Positive Regard

An attitude of total acceptance and support toward another person, regardless of what they say or do, often used in client-centered therapy.

Self-concept

An individual's comprehensive understanding and perception of themselves, including beliefs, feelings, and thoughts about one's identity and attributes.

Ideal Self

A person's conception of how they would like to be, encompassing aspirations, goals, and standards against which one measures their actual self.

Component Parts

Individual pieces or elements that, when combined, form a complete system or assembly.
