What are the strengths and weaknesses of giving elected officials more say in the process of policy implementation? How about the other side? What are the strengths and weaknesses of relying on policy experts and civil service employees? Does the current state of the bureaucracy lean in one direction or the other? In your opinion, is that good or bad? Explain your answer.
