Temperature is 37 C (98.5 F) , blood pressure is 100/70 mm Hg, pulse is 90/min, and respirations are 16/min. Pulse oximetry is 96% on room air. The patient is lethargic but arousable, and her speech is slurred. She is oriented to person but not place or time. There are no focal neurologic findings.
