During a job interview,the interviewee is trying to deceive the interviewer if their hand is often used to cover their mouth and the person talks through their fingers as if hiding or trying to keep words from escaping. Less obvious but also a sign of deception is a single finger to the mouth or (with men) the mustache stroke.
